What do you think of this years team? Interesting play off push right now.

I'm a big jays fan. This run they are on is something else. They definitely have the team to do some damage if they can manage to find their way into the post season. It won't come easy for them.  
 
If this team had a bullpen before July they very well could be leading the AL East. Lots of blown games early in season.  
 
What is also exciting is they are young, youngest team on avg in the MLB. and its their young players who are carrying the team.

I agree . The bullpen has faltered many victories away and is still scary. Felt bad for some of our starting pitchers who had great games going only to see them crumble away when the bullpen was called upon. What I don’t agree with is playing George Springer who always seems to be hurt in the lead off position right now. I would sit him down and let him heal completely and give somebody else a chance to hit. Your lead off batter is supposed to get on base not strike out again and again. Pitching as usual will decide their fate. 12 games to go they will need to win most of them.

I totally agree George is an amazing talent and him @ 80% is better then a lot of people but with a lineup that can produce from 1/8 #9 Danny Jansen is a great catcher but lacks the ability in most cases to get on base.  
 
I would rest George till things become absolutely necessary for his talent to be in the lineup.  
 
I do give Atkins and Shapiro credit as they took a ton of heat for how the first 4 years of their tenure went but they have built an amazing club.  
I wasn’t happy at first with what they did but I will admit they follows the rebuild perfect.  
 
And rebuilt a bullpen mid season which is also impossible.  
 
Also when your highest paid pitcher @ 80 million is your 3rd best pitcher just shows the skill they have found.

Might not be the year but having success and even more playoff experience will help greatly.  
 
Disappointed in jays decision yesterday to try and beat Rays with a bullpen game.  
 
Ross Stripling has been awful and I’m surprised they still run him out there.

Borucki's pitch hitting Kiermaier last night got quite elevated with Borucki and Pete Walker getting ejected from the game.

Need another good rotation pitcher. And keeping an injured and non-hitting George Springer in the lead off spot when you're in the hot spot in chasing a post season wildcard spot is just plain stupid.

I’m afraid their relief pitchers will cost them a play off shot.

Interesting to see Springer start to perform lately. Certainly what we were all hoping for during the season. Maybe he's finally feeling healthy. Yesterday's game shows just how talented the lineup is, so if they can squeak into the playoffs, having the bats get hot now is good timing. Maybe too little too late. They needed the big guys to shine during the New York series, which they didn't. Vladdy and Teoscar had 2 hits combined for the entire 3 games. Not good. Last weekend's Minnesota series cost them their playoff spot. I'm a bit uneasy about Ryu getting the start today, but if the bats continue the way they were hitting yesterday, then they might grab a win. Boston and New York need to give them a bit of help though....should be interesting for sure.

Early season blown games really hurt.  
 
But a 4 way tie if Red Sox and Yankees loose, and Seattle & Jays win could make things extra exciting.  
 
I think baseball needs expanded playoffs and 6 teams should make it and scrap wildcard one game playoff.
