Is This Bush-League Reporting

I was just creeping around Luebkes blog, and I wanted to read some of the write up from todays Kelowna - Portland game, and it appears as though Regan Bartel(from Kelowna) hadn't done a write up yet. His summaries are usually pretty good and whatever.
So I go to the Portland one, and this is the article:

Happy vindictiveness

Most of the guys who come back here, I'm happy for if they play well.
Guggenberger, though...he was a head case when he was here, and his reward for being a head case was getting to go to a contender. And then you see some condescending comments around the league, like it was our fault he was a head case and/or we didn't know what we had...bleh.
So I was kind of happy to see him play poorly today (not that our goals were soft, but any of them could have been stopped with a B-level save), then when pulled...I don't know that it was sulking, but he was motionless on the Kelowna bench with his helmet on until the final buzzer, over fifteen minutes of clock time. He wasn't too happy, at least.

Is it really fair to throw a guy under the bus like that at this level?
Aren't writers supposed to be somewhat neutral?
I wanted to see who this guy was and his profile page is blank, so I don't know if he actually writes for the paper or what his deal is, but here is the link
