On our long weekend trip to Saskatchewan we passed a fun looking sight just North of Regina (see video in the right-hand column).
In a field just off the highway there was a tent setup, a bunch of cars parked and a ton of people "Kiteboarding".. which is basically riding a snowboard that's hooked up to a "kite." As it was pulling people around there were jumps, etc which made for what looked like a fun time.
It turns out that what we saw was a specially organized event to raise money for charity, but apparently they have an area close to Saskatoon where people do the same thing.
After a bit more research, "Kiteboarding Manitoba" (
