First place watch: Wheat Kings trail Saskatoon by three points with a game in hand. Tonight is that game in hand. After tonight, Saskatoon plays PA x 2, Brandon plays Moose Jaw x 2.
What was thought to be a meaningless game a week ago all of a sudden is a critical game for the Wheat Kings, who find themselves back in the hunt for first in the East Division after Saskatoon has stumbled this week. For Brandon to have any realistic hope of first place, they will need to win tonight. The Broncos are in a fight of their own as they play for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Tonight is raincheck night... any ticket since Christmas that hasn't been used will get you into the game for only the cost of Ticketmaster's fee.
Scott Glennie should be back in the Wheat King lineup and re-united with Schenn and Calvert.
I'll post scratches and lineups at the usual time.
