Sedins seeking 12 year deals

As many know, Daniel and Henrik Sedin's contracts are up and they would become unrestricted free agents on July 1.
From TSN, they are each seeking 12 year $63 million deals (each is 28 years old).
The length is similar to that of deals signed with the Detroit Red Wings by fellow Swedes Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen.
If you were Canucks' GM Mike Gillis (former big time player agent), would you sign a deal at that length to lock up these players in their prime? Or would you use the money to sign a big free agent or two to shorter term deals?
