Leading scorers: Burke Gallimore (3+4=7), Derek Hulak (2+4=6), Stefan Elliot (2+3=5), Josh Nicholls (1+3=4)
Top scoring defenceman: Stefan Elliot (2+3=5)
Probable starting goaltender: Adam Morrison (2-1-2, 1.75 goals against average, 0.932 save pct) has started all five Blades games so far.
Manitobans: Walker Wintoneak (Flin Flon), Charles Inglis (Winnipeg)
Brandon Wheat Kings (3-2-0, Tied for 1st in East Division)
Leading scorers: Jay Fehr (2+4=6), Scott Glennie (2+3=5), Aaron Lewadniuk (1+4=5), Jordan Hale (2+2=4)
Top scoring defenceman: Mark Schneider (1+1=2)
Probable starting goalie: With Andrew Hayes (3-2, 2.40 Goals against average, 0.917 save pct) having started all five games so far, Dalyn Flette or Ty Rimmer will get their chance soon... but this probably isn't the game.
The Wheat Kings try to get back on the winning track tonight against what promises to be a key division rival throughout the season.
The Blades and their defensive, opportunistic style gave Brandon a lot of trouble in head-to-head matchups last season.
Would be great to hear others' thoughts on the matchup and what the Wheaties need to be better at tonight to compete against a strong Saskatoon team.
I'll post scratches and lineups approx a half hour before game time.
