Paul Van De Velde to WK?

With Brandon on their road trip and down three forwards to injury, rumors persist that Paul Van De Velde is set to join the Wheat Kings. He is a 19 year old Manitoban who was recently reassigned by the Silvertips to the MJHL. Don't know if there is any truth to this but wanted to see if anyone had heard anything similar?
I believe that they would first need to make a trade to acquire his rights, unless he was released outright.
