Canada - USA Men's Hockey Gold Medal showdown
2/28/2010 at 10:02 AM
It all comes down to this. Seven years ago when Canada and Vancouver were awarded the 2010 Olympics, many Canadians had visions of a Gold Medal men's hockey showdown. If it happened to be with their North American rivals the USA, all the better.
Today in what is already being called potentially the biggest single sports game ever to be played on Canadian soil, Canada will go for gold and try to avenge a loss to the USA from one week ago and send this country into a frenzy.
Ryan Miller was at times super-human in the game last Sunday, and we have to expect the same this afternoon. After seeing the Americans' dominating performance against Finland, Canada will hopefully come out with the same energy led to their 7-3 thumping of Russia.
Whether you're watching from a local living room, establishment, or from the Keystone Centre.. enjoy this Westman!
