Landon Ferraro to Wheat Kings in offseason?

Next season is probably the last thing on the mind of most Wheat King fans right now as the team gears up for next month, but I came across this article from the Vancouver newspaper that makes it pretty clear that the Red Deer Rebels will likely be trading highly touted forward Landon Ferraro this summer:

There are some pretty compelling reasons why he'd end up in Vancouver, but is this a player the Wheat Kings should consider making a play for? Brandon will be graduating a lot of important players this season, but unless Brayden Schenn or Scott Glennie make the NHL they would both be back in the WHL next season (too young for AHL). Do they load up in the off-season in preparation for another run, or do they wait and see what the statuses of Schenn and Glennie are before doing anything too aggressive?
If it's draft picks Red Deer would be looking for, Brandon is a little bit light on them after the Travis Hamonic trade in January but we do seem to be blessed with a ton of young up-and-coming prospects that will be WHL-ready next season.
