the little saskatchewan is a blast right now  
 
made the run on sunday  
 
put in at kirkhams bridge  
 
take out at 18th at dinsdale park  
 
total run was 5 hours, lots of whitewater, fast flow, still class 2 though  
 
stopped at the abandoned hydro dam  
 
could have taken out after 2 hours ( a bridge at the 'grand valley', ist st bridge, dog walk park etc if the 5 hour run was too long (it was a bit, had my 8 and 12 year old with me)but left the 2nd car at 18th, so had to keep going.  
 
in july, the run is slower, but still fun  
 
saw 5 big ol snapping turtles catching rays, eagles, osprey, red tail hawk, 2 beavers, muskrat, garter snake, and 3 painted turtles, a large owl getting mobbed by crows ( why do they do that?)and of course, deer  
 
there are no wires across the river but brought some cutters just in case  
 
twas fun, spring is definately the best time
