Looks like Jim Balsillie is buying the Nashville Predators. He is the Canadian Billionaire who is the CEO of Research In Motion, makers of the Blackberry telecommunications device. Those big into hockey know he is also the fellow who made an offer for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but was turned down by Mario Lemieux for a better offer - the casino deal - which never panned out. Balsillie did not up his offer because of lack of flexibility as to where he can locate his team. He publically stated he wanted to move the Penguins (to Hamilton) if they did not make money in Pittsburgh. Thats what kept Lemieux looking for a different offer.
Now that he is (going to be the) owner, do you think he will pack up and leave Nashville for a place like Kansas City, Houston, Seattle, or Canadian Cities Hamilton, Winnipeg, Halifax, or Quebec City?
