I always laugh when I hear that Kelly has to go and then what do you know... People were following KM around the party on Saturday wanting to shake his hand, tell him he's the best, etc. I'm sure many of them are true fans and think Kelly is an intelligent man, and rightly so, but there were quite a few that I know for a fact continually bash him while they sit in the stands. There is never a shortage of bandwagoners... Congrats to the entire organization for another outstanding season! Even if the series would have went the other way, the team would have made their (true) fans proud. Congratulations should be given to all the players at this level for stepping up to the plate, giving their all no matter their skill level, and hitting the ice in front of thousands of people, many of whom forget that these are teenage boys, some far from home, who have more grit and determination than any of the armchair "experts" ever will. If you are "coaching" in the stands or your armchair and not on the bench, perhaps there is a pretty good reason why... Pet peeve: people who yell at the players to shoot. What might look like an open lane from your angle, probably isn't from theirs. Sometimes, players make mistakes and don't shoot when they have a good opportunity, but I think that happens very little. Sometimes, they are running down the clock, sometimes they want to make the best scoring opportunity so the opposition doesn't clear the puck while trying to kill a penalty, etc. If they took a bunch of sloppy shots, you'd be yelling at them then too.
