It's always a risk buying used items on this website or anywhere for that matter. Last 2 items I bought on here were in working condition but not working properly. You have to really be careful sometimes because people will sell something in this state even knowing about it. I just got f'd over with a mini fridge. Works but needs a new part and I'm sure they new it was like this. Good thing it was only $50 Lol. So to anyone buying anything from this site, be careful what you buy and how much you spend cause you never know what you are getting.

The risk people take buying used items.

I think you should absolutely ask to try out an item/ensure its in working order prior to purchasing. If a seller is reluctant to show you, there’s probably a reason.

Why when I buy a lot of things I'm the so called cheap well you know what lol. I will offer bottom dollar because you never know what you get.

I was going to buy 2 lamps from a lady on here.  
Went to her house and she said she couldn't sell them to me. Asked why and said one wasn't working, we tried different bulbs and still wouldn't work.  
She refused to sell me something that didn't work. I was happy as hell because usually people say works great and its crap....

Called about a 2.5 inch hard drive form a fellow met in Canadian Tire parking lot he said it was working when I got home it was crap. Tried to get hold of seller ignored my messages so ended up with a paper weight. Will take poster advice and try before I buy. Live and learn.

I bought a Chanel purse from a woman about five years ago on here. Her picture in the ad was a real Chanel purse, but sold me a fake one that looked just like the real one in the ad. It was snowing pretty hard that night so I just wanted to do the exchange at the meeting place and get back in my warm car. As soon as I got home and realized, I tried to contact her but she had already closed her email account that she had used for the ad. That was an $80 lesson for me

This site like many of the other buy and sells on line do not have any policing so it's always a risk.Temporary email addys and phone numbers make it a scammer's delight..especially with the selling of cell phones and other electronic devices.
