    looks can be deceiving.  
    You just never know until its in the bin.  
    Wheat could be small kernals and lighter weight.  
    Canola will likely be all over the map, early seeded likely better than the late seeded.  
    I heard that around Winnipeg wheat is around 30 bu. acre with canola less than that.  
    Wait till its in the bin.

    showers were spotty this year. even a mile away got more rain then we did.  
     
    but in our first field of wheat - yield is decent protein is great and other then a break down harvest is off to a good start.  
     
    tough thing for many will be everything ripe at same time. At least that is my uneducated guess.

    Our wheat has been 50s to 60s and semi driver today said that is what he has been hearing elsewhere. Heard one field of neighbours wheat hit 70. Our wheat weighed heavy and have heard others say same  
    Rye wasn’t great.  
    Spotty rains likely make for variability in yields

    Crops can be deceiving this year. Where we are soybeans and canola looked amazing at the start of the year, just the right amount of rain to make a nice canopy and big plants. Then the tap got shut off right around the time the pods should have been starting to fill. Likely going to be a lot of empty or underdeveloped pods leading to poor yields.
