What do people think about the little bit of snow we got not even a inch and people use a Bobcat to clean driveways between 6-7 in the morning???? Pretty cool, got money to burn???? I went out and used a broom! Is there not a noise bylaw especially supposed to be living in a good neighborhood ???? Living in Greenacres area was quieter, even the trailer courts, and central!

No. Just stop. Just stop. A good neighbourhood? Yes you are correct it’s supposed to wait until 7 am according to the bylaws. But you sound like a diva. Make a report than to the proper cats and don’t post here.

I would let it go.  
A neighbour with a machine like that might be helpful to you in a time of need.

How do you know said person wasn't also scraping ice, or helping out neighbours? If you've got nothing else going on your life to worry about, you've got it pretty good. Maybe just skip posting this next time.

There is a noise bylaw that prohibits nuisance noises like snow clearing machines before 7am. I'd be annoyed too if somebody was doing it at 6am.

All the people complaining about snow clearing being done early in the morning are the same people who will complain the sidewalks/roads aren't cleared when they are going to work lol  
 
There is only so much time in a day to get things done. Getting an early start is better for tenants/owners and better for the general public. The city clears roads strictly during the night time, which would be much louder than a small bobcat clearing private lots.

I am fine with public properties being cleared overnight. For one, it doesn't violate any city bylaws. And I don't even notice it, but I definitely notice my neighbor when he uses his leaf blower on his driveway.

Some are early risers, some are not.

some follow the bylaws , some don't. Speed limits, impaired driving,ah they are not for me, but the other guy. Sad commentary.

If this person was actually really upset, they would have contacted authorities to remedy the problem. There will be people in the city that put up with public works working at night. I’m a morning person, and head off to bed early, but if someone wants to clean their lane, I’m not going to get bent out of shape over it even if I lose a bit of sleep.  
Laws are there, follow them, but also don’t be backward about using them. So the question would be, have I ever contacted the police about concerns, you bet I have.

he was fairly upset, or he likely wouldn't have posted as he did.We do not know if he contacted the city to complain or not.If public works are performing their jobs, at night or in the day, its for the good of the Brandon tax payer. Not an individual, or company. Bylaws are made for all residents, early riser, late riser and all in between.If one person can clean their lane, contrary to the bylaw, then everyone can. That is the reason for such a bylaw. Laws and bylaws, are in place for the good of all residents, and have to be followed for the good of all rate payers.In this case the city should be contacted if there is a bylaw that is being ignored. Hopefully the original poster has done that. Posting this on Ebrandon has only opened him up to ridicule by people that don't agree with the bylaw.
