Can anyone tell me if there’s anyone specializing in treating TMJ? I’ve been to a few different places but none of them seem to have specific training for it. Sometimes leave feeling the same or worse which is disappointing and frustrating . Specifically in Brandon, but Winnipeg as well if there’s someone good and actually worth the drive and money.

Dr. Winchar at Edge Dental in Winnipeg specializes in TMJ/TMD. My dentist in Brandon recommend him to me. I started going to him in about 2016/2017. I was a bit hesitant to go thru with everything as you have to go a few times and it’s quite pricy and I thought what if I go thru it all and it doesn’t work and I wasted a lot of money. But I decided to take a chance and it was worth it. I would have terrible jaw pain and horrible headaches. He does a special Xray and a bunch of different tests with how your jaw opens, a special TENs like machine on your jaw and area. And you get a custom made appliance (similar to a nightguard. It helped me a lot I don’t get that jaw pain or headaches like I used to.
