I was just about to write a post on suggesting a Ride share page when I noticed the Carpool page in the classifieds section.  
 
Question: How come so few people seem to use it? I've always had great experiences with ride shares, some drivers I found were as helpful and professional as Greyhound Drivers.  
 
Its a great way to go, cheap, eco-friendly, more personal (generally more fun), and faster.  
 
I can see how safety becomes a concern, but if you take proper precautions (full names, ID, talking to riders, noting pick up addresses, having a home contact for yourself), it can be just fine.
