YMCA pool temperature

To anyone that went to the YMCA pool today , how was the temperature of the water? One guy said this Monday the water was very cold I would like to know what to expect tomorrow

Might be helpful to call them and ask? I bet they would have the most accurate temperatures.

Like the previous poster said, call them and ask. They can give you an exact temp often.

Two of my kids had swimming lessons yesterday and neither complained, so it couldn't have been that cold Tuesday. They maybe had to add water Monday and that's what usually makes it cold, until the heater can catch up.

But what one finds cold another may not and vice versa. The only way to know accurately is to indeed call and they can take a temp of right then with the laser

The lap pool is kept purposely cool, I think about 19 degrees, because it's a lap pool. But it can feel very cold sometimes, especially if you're just hanging out, or if you're expecting it to be warmer. The rec pool is warmer, I think closer to 30. Some days it's luxurious, and others it feels just too darn hot and suffocating.

I took a chance this morning and the water was warmer than it has been for the 2 weeks.
By the way I asked how was the water temperature not the reason why the water is cold or what makes it cold.

Recommended temperature for a Pool are:
(77 to 79 F) for people doing laps (25 to 26.1 C)
Olympic pools are generally this for fast swimming, more on the lower end.

(80 to 81 F) for most people (26.6 C)

(81 to 82 F ) (27.2 to 27.7 C)for small children and seniors.
Diving pools at the Olympics are usually this temp.
