I have new babies and was wondering if anyone has any good legit work from home suggestions that a new mom could do to make a bit of extra cash

A search of stay at home jobs will list tons of people recommending to become a sales consultant for anything from Sentsy to tupperware. Best thing to do is get hubby have the kids in the evening and pick up a part time job and bring in a true paycheque. It will allow you some sanity of getting out of the house, seeing people besides mothers and babies, and interact on a level with people besides baby talk.

Would you mind sharing publicly your ideas in this area, or your success if that is the case. I think there are a lot of stay at home moms that would love to make a legitimate pay check from home. It would solve a lot of daycare shortage issues if there were more people sharing experiences on how you can actually work from home.  
I was in this situation as well, and never did find anything legit, but really had no guidance either. We had to make it work for me to work outside of the home again.

Your best bet is likely going to be starting a business, like Fishin Guy suggests. My SIL started selling Tupperware after her second was born, and she loves it (and is making some good coin). Unless you were already established in a job that would allow to you work from home, I think it would be really tough to find anything legimate/worthwhile at this point (speaking from experience).  
 
Ideas for work-at-home/home businesses can include babysitting, MLM (such as Tupperware or Avon), making something for selling like on Etsy or farmer's markets (knitting, sewing, etc), walking dogs, anything you can think of.  
 
Just a caution if you're going to sell something, make sure you pick something you love and use anyway. I made the mistake of trying to sell Avon, but it wasn't something I was passionate about. If I had to do it again, I would sell cloth diapering stuff or something that I loved and was knowlegable about.

I am also a MK independent beauty consultant and make a decent living on it.  
But my souls purpose is Heavenly Auras. And MK built the path that led me to it.
