Went to a local coffee shop for my 45min lunch today. Went through the drive thru which took over 5 mins and then ordered a bagel and coffee but when I got to the window they had none left so I asked for a different bagel and none asked for a muffin and again none then a cookie and again none!! This was just before noon!! Got told that they just can't keep up because of the winter fair!! So now I have to go back to work empty handed..

If that's your biggest problem of the day I'd say you're not doing so bad.

Why didn't you try another place? I agree if this was your biggest problem then you aren't doing so bad. It's common sense that Brandon in general would be busier during the fair/spring break.

If you are a happy camper like your name suggests, maybe pack a fantastic packing lunch. I say that with a bit of humour.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair brings visitors from everywhere. It's a good thing for many businesses and might be different from everyday sales.

why did you have to back to work empty handed? There are lots of other places to go grab a bagel or a muffin. You could have even popped in to a grocery store and bought one bagel out of the bakery. No need to go hungry just because one place ran out for the day.  
We know the winter fair is here for the week, which will bring a ton of extra traffic to eating establishments, so we just need to expect that these things will happen.

In my opinion it's great to hear that a business is booming.  
 
Bringing dollars to Brandon is very important.We are told how important an event like the Winter Fair is to the economy of Brandon, and it's nice to hear that business's are in fact busy.

Make your own muffins or bagels. Way cheaper and healthier.

If this is the same coffee shop I've had issues with, it's a common problem. We've been there on Saturday morning and they were out of eggs?! Surely a franchise like that could plan inventory better. I've been there several times early in the morning and they tell me they don't have particular items, one after another. Yes, I know it's not a huge problem as other posters are pointing out. But it is really annoying and has caused us to always go to McDonald's now. I've never had them be out of stock on anything. Pretty annoying when you've got a short break and you can't get the food you want. And this is not just during the winter fair.
