I will be happy the day a cop takes away your driver's licence to drive a long semi until you grow up some more. On 1st street you passed a cyclist right on a curve so close that is totally careless driving. I was close to the edge of the street by the gravel then realize you seemed to get closer to me and looking quick behind me I saw your back end of your semi almost hit me quickly I moved to the gravel lucky it wasn't a concrete curb. You slowed down for 1 second then pass me faster while driving on a curve totally nuts.  
You stupid driver you should know driving a long load in a curve turn that it takes room. I didn't pass you YOU passed me.  
I do not want to see posts from people tell me I should not be there or I should be careful. I have the right to be there I am not the one that should be ashamed. I wasn't careless I did focus my surroundings that is why the semi didn't hit me. Not because you drive a big vehicle gives you the right anywhere to push people off the road or run over them.  
I didn't have time to look at the company truck. You should lose your job.

Yes, everyone should be aware of who/what is around them when driving. Not everyone is perfect as you, so it is a good thing you were aware.

That seems like a uniquely terrible idea. Drivers who are going to be responsible for large loads should have adequate training and practice. I barely trust most people behind the wheel of a subcompact car, never mind a loaded rig.  
 
If you're talking about having empathy for other people, try it from the other side- ride a bike (totally legally), while vehicles that could smoosh you like a bug decide that being cautious of your life isn't worth the 0.2 seconds it would take to pass you safely.

I am not saying you should not have been bicycling on that street, but for future reference there is a walking/bicycling path on the east side of first Street going around those curves. Might be a bit safer for you.  
 
On a side note, while driving my car, not only do I pay attention to what I am doing, you also have to be defensive and note what the cars around you are doing too. Same goes for bikes.

Because of all of the construction, the bike path may not be completely usable. Otherwise, I would say that cyclists should be using it. When there's a bike path beside a busy street I think cyclists should be required to use the path.

The highways the streets are dangerous even if your trying to be careful, unless he did it on purpose, it was a whoops lucky nobody got hurt,close calls happen no matter how good a driver you are,as long as theirs no contact and nobody got hurt consider your self lucky, you had to pull off the pavement big whoop at least they aren't carving but he had just as much right to the road as a semi on your tomb stone.

what a unfriendly city this is. A careless driver with long vehicle and here people blaming a cyclist doing wrong. Such a unfriendly place for cyclists you bash cyclists and send link on following bike rules on the streets then you bash them again they should not be on the streets.  
If the cyclist were to be hurt your response will be what a crazy driver but now the cyclist was ok your response is the cyclist is crazy.

People bitch when they ride on the sidewalk and bitch when they actually ride where they are suppose to.. The Truck driver Should of been over by the center line to give the bike the room needed to pass or slow down till safe to do so.. Lived in Vancouver and drove everyday with bikes on the road and its not an problem like its is in Brandon.. Ge there are a lot of people in this world that cant afford a car so ride a bike.. It takes 5 mins out of your driving time to share the road with them.. Respect is earned (both ways) Give what u expect back..

...of the commercial vehicle is supposed to be vigilant. Glad you're alright. Too bad you didn't take note of identification details. Carrier companies always like to hear about errant drivers. It allows them to address behaviours before someone does get hurt.

this week city workers were working on the sidewalk bridge and yesterday they were working at the end of the bridge for those do not know at the end of the bridge comes to a loose gravel slope with small path space along the shoulder so I chose the street. Construction areas are not usually friendly for cyclists and Brandon is not at all the top welcoming city for cyclists.  
First street is not any busier than Victoria Ave or Richmond Ave the idiot semi driver just did not want to slow down and stay behind me until turning the curve he could had passed me because there is enough space for both. I should have to bike in the ditch.  
Drivers want cyclists to read the rules of biking but drivers should read it as well. Drivers are supposed to give space when passing a bike and not many drivers in this city do it. It is simple drivers do not want at all to slow down or move over for bikes they will rather toss a cyclist on the ground or on the grave.  
Nothing is being done perhaps the police should enforce more cyclists to bike on the street and FOLLOW rules as supposed so drivers will be used to see and focus their surroundings too for bikes.  
Tickets are giving to drink and drive (dangerous), no seat belt, phone usage and drive (dangerous) but not much done about cycling in Brandon.  
I am not the blame I did nothing wrong, had bike lights, helmet, was on right edge of the street, stop at traffic lights and stop signs, watch my surroundings all the time and I will keep doing so.

What''s the M&M truck driver suppose to do? They''ve got to unload at the back door of M&M which is closest to Rosser Avenue. If he came in the other way he''d have to back out onto Rosser when he''s done unloading because that street behind M&M is a dead end. Backing out onto Rosser would be dangerous given the fact it''s a busy street and he''d have to back out blind on Rosser which is dangerous. Plus there's always vehicles parked on Rosser so the driver can park on the street. He has no choice to stick out onto Rosser given the location of the store and I''m sure he''s not happy he has stick out onto the street. He''s not doing it on purpose just to tick everyone off. Think about the situation before you spout off.

as a truck driver maybe we should just stop going in the citys and see how long it takes for city ppl to be crying for food and all goods that feed your fat bellys i hope u all that bitch about semi driver stop and look at your own driving before b..ching about truck drives helping u all eat and bye things u need in life and if all truckers stopped going in citys u all starve with in a week so maybe think about that before whining on e brandon

He or she blocks off one lane of traffic on Rosser and a street with one business on it. There's another lane on Rosser to safely go around the truck while it makes it delivery. There's bigger things in life to worry about than a minor temporary inconvenience.  
 
And like I said what's the M&M truck driver suppose to do?

someone is blocking a lane when you have an entire other lane to travel on. I've blocked off lanes many times to do my job.

well as a trucker you would be lucky i never blocked both lanes so no one could pass and u know them ppl blowing your horns as im backing in the a dock and im taking the hole road well if u are one id take my time and make sure i back in perfectly straight some times go ahead back 4 or 5 time just to piss u off even more god i love to be bigger then all u 4 wheelers lmao
