This was a WMA (Wildlife Management Area) for years before the trails were developed in 1979 for X-country skiing.
Exactly why do you think hunting should be banned? Does the few weeks a year that hunters are in this area really impact your enjoyment? " |

The safety and well being of those who want to bike and hike in the area is much more important then any hunter getting their deer etc.
Why can't hunters stay out the area? Is that asking too much?
The recent night hunting incident near Pulp River would make one wake up of what can go wrong. " |

arax said why, because it was a wildlife management area first, hunting (especially rifle) is only allowed for a short time so why dont the others stay out of the area in hunting season if they dont like it, is it too much to ask that the area that was nicely shared by the hunters be available to them should they want to use it?
if others fear for their safety stay out for a month
op- its pretty asinine to think that just because someone hunts they are going to beat you up, do you think that about other kickers and bikers ect?
