Since MTS sold to Bell the pricing that Bell has been offering is crazy cheap like TV, internet and home phone for $60 and I was going to jump ship so I called Westman and they cut my bill in half for 6 months but it was still a way higher than Bell. So when that expired my bill went back up to the normal price. I then called back and told them I got an a letter in the mail from them offering me the same plan for $60 and I asked for that price but was told, no it is only for new customers for one year and I have been their customer for over 30 years and have to pay 4 times that cause I'm not a new customer. Not long after I got a letter in the mail from Bell with the same type of promo so I called them back again and got my bill cut in half. Now its going to expire shortly and I'm tired of paying too much and having to suck hole to get a cheaper price all the time. What has everyone else been doing?

We switched earlier this year. Westman was nothing but a headache. Nothing to complain about with bell.

Regular price is regular price. Sucks but that's just the way it is. I don't like paying so much for my car but if I want it, I pay for it. You should just do what I do and change back and forth every 6 months to get the deal from the other provider. If you go to MTS for 6 months you will get the new customer promo with Westman when you go back and vice versa.

We regularly jump between the two for the "new customer" promo since neither rewards long term customers....

Prevents customers from bouncing back and forth all the time in order to get the 6 month deals? If not, thete should be.

It's an extra grand kicking around until I get around to moving from this city. In the meantime, I need telecom, so I am content.

All of the local companies are very comparable in princing after their 6 month introductory offers. If you are bragging about 3 times cheaper after the 6 month candy period please share for the rest to see.

I don't know if I'm really missing something here? or what is going on but your out here searching for a answer on what to do? If Bell is that much cheaper why don't you just switch to Bell already? Problem solved yes no?? Lol happy Easter everyone!!

In my experience the prices in Brandon are very similar after the sign up deals - I honestly doubt that you get a internet/home phone/tv package for $60 anywhere with no promo . There is also the variations of what kind /speed of internet what programing for tv what add ons on your phone lines, but in the end if you compare apples with apples there won't be much price differences it all comes down to your personal preference and your bundling options

After the 6 month promo Westman is the same if not cheaper. I called Bell/MTS Saturday to figure out why my call forward wasn't working. I was told that it was not a feature that was in my call package but I could add it for only $8.99!!!! give me a break. and whats with Wire Watch total money grab. At least with Westman they i:nclude ALL the call features.  
 
Just like I said the 1st time regular price is regular price. If you dont want to pay it just jump ship every 6 months to get the new customer promo from the other company.  
 
BTW Westman DOES offer other things to long term customers but, the pricing for new customers is not something a "loyal" customer will get as they would have got a promo when they 1st came on regardless of Bell/MTS or Westman Communications.

No Bell/MTS is the only one that I know of still using POTS. Westman uses a e:mbedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter.  
 
As far as what they give to long term customers, in addition to like 500,000 of annual equity pay outs that you will never see from Bell/MTS they offer things like draws the the annual general meeting (trip on star jet was the last year) I also got something from them in the past for 1 year promo on the service I didn't have at the time (phone) for a crazy price. I know it was only for people who had been with them for years.  
 
one last thing THEY ARE LOCAL. Don''t get me wrong a bucks a buck and I switch every 6 months to save but the product is so much better than Bell/MTS. Every time I am with then I hear nothing but grief from my kids about how bad the internet sucks etc.

In regard to equity if you are eligible go in and fill out the form. you can get it but, will take longer if you still live somewhere they service. People somehow got the idea that you cant collect it unless you die or something?! I keep my equity with them because I just go back and forth.

Take a look at this. Westman has a comparison chart for Internet a regular Price. Westmans Ultranet is almost x2 the speed and more than $6. less. All the the speeds at Westman at regular price are faster AND cheaper (Westman Nitro is the same price but WAY faster)  
 
I know I am beating a dead horse but ALL ISP's offer crazy rates to get you in the door its the regular price you need to look at and in this case Westman is better.  
 
This holds true for TV and Home Phone as well. Just Sayin'

I found in my neighbourhood I rarely hit half of the “up to” speeds with Westman for internet. When I switched to BellMTS I have been getting constant speeds. Usually 1-2mbps below the “up to” speeds.

I have $1100 in equity at Westman. I made $1400 when Bell bought my MTS shares. Now my Bell shares payout 5% dividends per year.  
 
Sometimes you have to join them to beat them.

If you were not getting the speeds did you give them a chance to fix it?  
 
I openly admit that I HATE Bell/MTS product and am only with them because I promo jump but, regardless of who you are with did you give them a chance to fix your problem?

I called multiple times for WCG to fix the speed issues and they couldn’t give me a straight answer to why I was only getting half speeds. I gave them a fare chance then switched to Bell/MTS. Now when I first switched I was also getting slow speeds but Bell did something on their end and speeds picked right up. Maybe I just got the right tech. I run everything in my house hardlined except for phones or iPads so maybe that’s why I get a consistent speed. Both companies were great to deal with really. It just came down to who could get me a constant speed. Location likely plays into it too. Best thing to do is try both companies and see what works best for your home.
