Does anyone know anything about SkyWire TV antennas being advertised on the internet or any other alternative devices to receive network TV without cable?
Any personal experiences that were satisfactory?

Does that capture over-the-air signals? From what I read it sounds like it will.

Well, I would assume it would work better if there were network TV signals to capture. There's very little around here. I would research what could be captured (CKND seems to be the only reliable one around here, and there's no CBC feed to speak of) before deciding if that's something I wanted to spend money on.

I bought a "View TV" antenna. It works fine as a UHF HDTV antenna which CKND is. The picture on CKND (2.1)is great - mostly because it is digital. It is not very good on the VHF band which CKY-B is. So, if you are happy with the programming on Global and don't mind a snowy picture from Channel 4 then go for it.
If the one decent channel idea sux then I think you might want a Kobi Box or Cable.
