Mnay moons ago I was a early adopter which can hurt your budget. I did my research and chose Betamax. lost that one but I sold all my old 8 tracks long before my buddies heard of cassettes. Overall its a wash.  
As I said in the beer post--I am cheap. I need a laptop but can not afford it----ok I want a laptop. I have Simple needs-- wireless so I can read Ebrandon on the back deck. Then at the same time listen to on Radio or play toons---no big gamer stuff.  
 
Yes I am concerned with the small screen but I can add a screen if need be. So Techies should --Look at getting the eeepc or saving up for a bottom line laptop?? THe tech on the eee is cool. Any thoughts ?? ---oh ya Linus installed is that a plus or should I slide to xp as soon as possible if I bought??
