Record player that needs attention!

I have a record player that maybe needs a new turntable motor. Is there any one in Brandon that can help me? It is 12 years old.

Most electronic service people are going to want a minimum charge just to look at something before giving an estimate. And sadly, these days most lower end electronics are not really made to be serviced.

If it is ndeed the motor and you are reasonably handy you can buy one and replace it yourself, I am sure.

Most places these days charge more for labour on electronic repairs than the item is worth. It is usually cheaper to replace than to repair.

Are the motor windings burned open or is the motor just not turning. MOST record player motors when not used very often will go dry and seize. Disassembly, removing varnish on shaft, proper oiling, reassembling and realigning the bearings will repair 95% of seized motors. Open windings are NOT repairable.
