Hey. Just seeing who out there has xplornet. I see there’s some good satellite and LTE plans. Is it any good? Are you happy with it?

Xplornet and so far we have had no problems. Customer Service was excellent at getting it set up and going. It is a bit more expensive than what we were used to (Bell MTS).

When it was netset they had livechat for service which I used a couple of times for help and they were almost instant replies or short wait times if I had to wait. On the phone if they were busy you could leave a message and they did reply.  
 
Shortest wait time for phone help xplornet was 40 minutes up to and hour and half. It took 2 days for an email reply.  
 
When xplornet took over netset services were off a couple times a day for first couple of weeks. It started again this week going off.  
 
As far as speed never noticed any changes since the takeover but I don't come close to data limits and don't watch a lot of video. Being in the country don't have any options but is still better than MTS was and MTS told me I was just a dumb farmer and didn't need high speed internet. Not sure since the MTS change to Bell has improved service still upset about the insult.  
 
Have heard RFNOW is good but I am not in their service area.

I Had Netset for almos 15 years. On the Business 20 plan at the end. Using Speedtest.net or Fast.com my speeds were usually 18 to 21. I had limited problems.  
 
When Xplornet took over I stuck with my Netset plan. Due to a difference in their operating protocols, I was getting speeds 25 to 30 for the first few months. As they adjusted Netset equipment to run under their protocols speed appeared to drop. Way down.  
 
I talked to several reps over 2 weeks and by combining all my discussions I figured it out. Netset sold you a speed and tried to maintain it. Xplornet sells you a MAXIMIM speed. The more your draw bandwith the more you get. I was told because of this a Speedtest.net is no longer an accurate measure. As Business 20 was very expensive I took the leap and switched to Xplornets LTE 25 Unlimited and saved $50 a month. I have seen no difference is service.  
I spend much of my day accessing remote dedicated servers using Microsoft Remote Desktop and I have seen no service differences. I don't stream movies just music with no problems.  
 
Wait times can be long for service but the people at the other end are very good. Polite, Knowledgeable and have some good ideas.  
 
Also, you have to recognize that for most of us rural types, the only option is MTS dial-up or Xplornet. So not much of a decision to make if you can afford it.

Have used Xplornet for decades with few issues.

We had it a number of years ago and we were unhappy with it from start to finish.  
We moved back to a country house a year ago and went back to them.  
The "NEW" service was worth the second chance and we are very happy with it!  
They seem to be getting better and upgrading steadily.  
Highly recommend!  
 
 
Oh and now unlimited data.....bonus

It is crap.It is slow expensive and customer service sucks.Had it in Pierson.I complained about no service and bad service for months.They ended up giving me 14 months payment back.And Inetlink is worse .No wonder Xplornet bought them they are two peas in a pod.

I got the 25mb/s LTE package. I’m happy with it so far. It’s a lot better than Bell/MTS before the 10 gig threshold. I would recommend it.
