Hi, I need some advice. I need to buy a laptop but don't want to spend too much money for the amount of usage it will get. Has anyone bought a refurbished one.? The one I'm looking at has 8Gbs ram, 32Gb SSD for $300, one year warranty. There are new ones for the same price but would be slower. There won't be any games played on it. I just would like faster internet. Pics provided. Thank you in advance for any advice.

I don't know if Geeks Computers is even open right now but try giving them a call. They take in (or at least they did) used office laptops, refurbish them and then sell them. About four years ago I bought a real nice Dell laptop that met all my needs , and it works great. In fact the only time I had an issue with it, I brought it back to Geeks, they had a look and fixed it real quick with no charge. Can't get that kind of service from eBay.  
 
It's also important, more now than ever, to support local.

If you are just wanting faster speeds to be able to use the internet, than the Chromebook is the one. The Windows one you showed, don't even waste your time on. If you need storage, than go with a full version of Windows.

Be sure you know what a chrome book is versus a laptop running Windows. They are very different. If you don’t know the difference don’t buy either until you do.

Geekz is still open - slightly reduced hours, but still 10-5, Monday through Saturday.  
 
I suspect you'd be disappointed with what you're currently looking at. For what it's worth, a couple different options at Geekz, price range from $325-$375. At minimum, they come with 6GB RAM, *new* 240GB SSD, i5 processors, Windows 10 Pro.  
 
Even if you're looking from somewhere else, they are more than happy to give you advice and steer you away from something not worth spending your money on. Hope that helps, good luck!
