Mac vs PC
11/6/2008 at 6:16 PM
All of us use different kinds of computers, some of us prefer Macs, some of us use PCs (Windows, etc), others use cellphones to browse here, or some use other things (ie Linux). While some of us may prefer a whole different architecture entirely than what we actually use. What do you prefer and why?
I'm a Mac boy, have been using only Macs for 6 years now, I grew up with Macs, but most of the computers my family has owned were Windows based PCs, when I got my first computer (to myself), I chose an iBook because I really got fed up with some of the problems I experienced with PCs over the years, I loved my iBook and it still kicks today, but after 6 years it needed upgrading so I got a MacBook, this time in black (insead of white.. although the brand new ones are in aluminum.. they look sweet). I love my Macs though, I've had far fewer problems than my parents old PCs, but it doesn't mean Macs are perfect. I find that Macs NOW are poorer quality build than ever before, when I bought my first MacBook, the screen was total cr**, so I decided after 3 days of getting it to replace it with one without a terrible screen, so I did (after alot of hassle), but now my current MacBook's screen is already on the fritz.. like what the heck? My old iBook never had problems like that..
but this spring my Mom wanted a new computer so she could finally learn how to send emails and edit pictures, she wanted something to edit/backup her pictures onto, because she's obsessed with sending pictures, plus gets confused so easily, I chose her a 24" iMac, she loves it, she finds the screen a bit too big, but she went from never using a computer in her life to setting up facebook and randomly emailing people (and emailing photos all the time) in under half a year. My dad loves it because the screen is huge, he wishes it was a TV lol! But all he uses it for is for Poker games, he doesn't care about anything else, he has to have his poker.
