TV Technology

I have been researching tv technology. One thing that is slowly emerging is the way we view television. I do not work for any cable or software company but like to view what each one has and where it is going. There has been much talk of Westman TV service and the coming of MTS TV service. I have spoke with some of the techs at MTS who are currently testing the new tv system in the works. I will not go into who is better, only relaying what I have so far found. I thought it was neat to have your phone access on your tv. I currently have Westman cable but without internet and phone. I am going to wait till all services from both providers is out to make my choice. I have to try and do more digging but have not found much on the future service of Westman TV. With MTS they have been putting a lot of effort into creating a potential super tv experience. What people don’t realize is MTS has been working with Microsoft in offering Mediaroom. I have looked up AT&T and find this wave of technology interesting. I spoke of before watching 6 different shows, it is possible. I also spoke of all channels in HD. This is also possible as from what I gather it is defining the channels to HD quality (up converting like certain DVD players). Oh yea it can also put the caller’s phone number on the screen. This is not about who is better so please leave those comments elsewhere. We are looking at a home media broadcasting center. That is a far cry from the days of your regular cable box. Please look further into any technologies and tell me your thoughts.
