Trying to find a place for recycling computer?

Hi, just wondering where to ship my old computer junk to be recycled. I just finished a technical certificate, they advise you in the course not to throw it away! Electronic equipment has toxic heavy metals like mercury silver, etc. I just want to do the right thing and recycle them. I sent a email to the old computer recycle center website, but no reply. SO...send me a line or a suggestion. Thanx Mysterio
