Cable TV Box

We had Hydro in our area today working on a transformer, they did warn everybody to unplug the electronics in the house, all the computers were disconnected but not the TV and cable box. Now when we try and turn on the cable box it just flashes once and thats it,TV still works fine just wondering if the box is fried or needs to be reset somehow, any ideas. Thanks in advance.
