I have a laptop that recently died and I need to backup the data from the IDE drive onto a SATA drive before sending it in for repair.  
 
Does anyone have an IDE adapter I could borrow for an afternoon?  
 
After this one-time data transfer I can't see myself using one again, so I'd rather not buy one of my own. As a token of appreciation for borrowing yours, I'm offering this 2"x3", ink and dye-based ink on watercolor paper illustration, framed. I made these worms for a series I exhibited in L.A. in 2007 and I have a few left.
