NEW TV FOR THE NEW YEAR?

Hi. I am planning to buy a new tv before the year ends.
I am planning to buy the tv on boxing day. My budget is just about under $2000. I am wanting to get a 55 inches or larger.
What is the best store I could find that TV?Brands?Specs?And when should I buy? Before boxing day, or at the boxing day?Tips please.
