Have you had a black line running vertically on tv?

We have a vertical black line, approx 2 inches, on our 27inch flatscreen. It's a ProView purchaced from FS about 4 years ago. Not on warranty anymore. This has never happened before, I doubt it's a bulb? could be though. has anyone had this happen to them, was it fixable?
and if not fixable, where is the best place to take it? or person to call?
I believe the choices are Mortec Electric and Aurora Video in Brandon.
Please, any help, info, clues, reccomendations would be greatly appreciated
