Its 50 years since the Russians launched the Sputnik into space. Since then Billions of dollars have been wasted in these ridiculous endeavors to escape from earth. What good has this ever done for the millions of starving people in the world? The space programs of the countries of the world has wasted its limited resources and polluted the atmosphere beyond comprehension. For what? A few pictures of some planets, a pile of scrap metal called the international space station. They are now talking of going to Mars, Why? There was nothing of use on the Moon, so what makes them think it will be any different on Mars? They promised tourist trips to space, but at $23 million a trip, only a few privileged people can afford it. I say scrap this space exploration poppycock, and spend the money on earthly endeavors.
