This may not be breaking news, but I came across a website created by Sun Microsystems this morning and found something that is amazing.  
 
If you go to www.openoffice.org , you can download an entire collection of office software (word processing, spreadsheets, a nifty art/photo processing program, etc.) for free!  
 
I checked out a number of the programs and have found that they are really useful. The drawing program has many of the tools that ordinary people use in programs like Photoshop or Corel Photopaint, without any of the cost.  
 
For anybody who is disgusted by the cost of the latest Windows Office software, this may be the way to go.  
 
The best part is that the software is open source and is constantly being updated - again, for free!  
 
I'll be trying this software out for the next several weeks. If other ebrandoners want to do the same, go to openoffice.org and do the download.  
 
Maybe this will signal the end of Microsoft's exhorbitant prices for Office-related software.
