Skype and Globarange JOIP services

Has anyone use Skype based Wifi phones before and how good are they?
Futureshop has a couple of hybrid Panasonic cordless phones that use the 5GH range and Globarange VOIP service. An Alternative to Vonage? Apparently, this cordless phones connects to your home router for Globarange VOIP service and is also a home landline phone. Anyone tried this Globarange service?
