Anyone have any experience with drones? I am looking into purchasing one, wondering if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations?  
 
I am currently leaning towards a quadcopter, it has to be easy to use, and take high quality video and photos.

I have a DJI Phantom 2 but if you are new to flying I would suggest starting with a cheap one like a Syma X5c or even a UDI U818A. Both those will be under a $100 and will get you to learn the basics before stepping up into a DJI which will cost you over a $1000 for a good one. Just because they are cheap doesn't mean they are not fun they will do very well. Oh and you will crash a lot so you would be wise to buy an extra set of blades and maybe a few batteries as well.

I have a Hubsan x4 H107C and a Hubsan x4 H107D. The H107C is about 60 bucks, has HD video camera. The H107D is about $160 has reg. video but the controller has a screen to view in first person. Controllers eat batteries and I go thru blades like crazy because I'm learning bit both are fun.

Are targets that aircraft use for practicing firing air to air weapons also known as unmanned aerial vehicles, can be full size aircraft or a fractional scale model.  
what reporters love to call drones now is nothing more than a radio controlled aircraft typically flown as a hobby.

You can definitely tell the difference from a higher quality versus a cheap one but as a new person to flying the cheap ones are quite stable and great for learning the basics. I have a GoPro for my DJI but the cheap ones actually come with a fairly decent camera. Your not going to be getting 1080 or anything but pretty good quality, at least I find. Should be able to get a Syma with extra batteries and blades for under $100 on Amazon. Probably even cheaper if you order on Aliexpress but you will be waiting for at least a month with it coming from China.
