Lately I have received 3 different emails coming from my family member but they did not send those emails to me so how whoever send those emails to me got hold of some of my family names?? 2x emails was about german stuff language too.  
Weird too that those emails were in english which with my family we communicate in our own language between us.  
Anyone (with inethome address) has those bizarre emails

It's called spam, delete it.

I get these emails all the time and just delete them. Agree with previous post which states in that it's just spam.

I'm with Fred the email account has been hacked... They need to Change the Password..

I don't know if it is a coincidence but ever since inethome changed their system or template whatever they did I really do receive strange emails.  
Now I have Apple Store and PayPayl asking me to update my account for what? They never asked me before and clicking on apple store to check my account a new window appeared say phishing spam.  
CAn a chrome book laptop be scanned for viruses. I thought chromebook were safe same as apple laptop

Nothing is invincible. You need anti-virus software no matter what kind of machine you use.  
 
As a general rule of thumb, don't ever click on a link in a email that requests you update information. If you think it might be legit, go directly to the website (such as paypal) WITHOUT using the link. In fact, the legit emails from banks, etc, will instruct you to do just that.  
 
edit: forgot to add, that either inthehome has been compromised (I've heard/see lots of people getting theirs hacked lately!, but I would personally enquire with the provider to see if that's the case) OR when they revamped their system the spam filter isn't working as well as the old one, letting more of these types through.

switched our email/internet back to the MTS system and within two weeks we have a huge increase in spam mails and phishing popups. And they are bad!! Some are so obviously scams you wonder how anyone could fall for them.  
 
It is so infuriating - it made us wonder if certain companies are more prone to this happening or if it is an internet wide thing. Maybe there are so many spammer computers out there now? Or are people getting smarter about the scams and they are getting desperate?  
 
I know when we had our MTS cell phone within a day we were getting daily texts and telemarketing calls - and I do not give my number out to any company. Since switching to Telus we have received NONE. Same thing with a friend - he got a brand new cell number and he works within a large company that his number is ONLY internal to the company. He had scam texts within a few days too.  
 
It just makes you wonder. We are paying for services and should we not have the right to some degree of security that they can protect our information (or not sell the lists themselves?)

I don't know how much knowledge you have (I don't myself) but some more really advance knowledge people do say that you do not need an antivirus on a chromebook. I couldn't explain as I not quite understand the explanation.  
I may need to reset my browser settings though.

I have had my Virgin phone for well over a year and have never had a scam text. I do receive the odd telemarketing call, in fact, one that the call display showed my own number calling me. On the other hand my spouse has Mts and gets anywhere from 2-5 calls per day. Go figure!

It is not my imagination. It may be my opinion, but too many people have told me the same thing about MTS cells. I believe they sell their number lists.  
 
I did just get the call from my own phone number the other day on the one remaining MTS line I have. Sick, these scammers have ways of manipulating so much you just don't know who to trust.
