PS4 home theatre issues

Hey, I have a PS4, Walmart RCA TV and a Samsung 5.1 ch blue ray home entertainment system. I can't get my ps4 audio to work through surround sound at all. If you can help, let me know, I will compensate. Thanks

How are you plugin in the ps4? Optical or red and white?

Need lots more info.... Does the 5.1 system have an optical in? If so, connect the ps4 to tv with HDMI, then connect the ps4 to 5.1 system with optical cable. You will need to configure this in the audio settings dialogue on the ps4.

Ps4 to TV " HDMI" PS4 to home theatre "Optic cable". That's what iv done so far. I can't seem to get it to work from here. Not sure why

It's acctaully quite simple

You must set your tv sound settings to optical. . And make sure. The surround is set on optical. . Everything hooked to the tv will have sound
