Hey all!  
I bought a used laptop that had a broken hard drive. I replaced the hard drive and successfully re installed windows 7 home premium with service pack 1. I cant seem to be able to obtain or download any drivers i.e. wifi, graphic, audio, ethernet, hdmi...the list goes on. Anybody have some help or pointers they can slide my way?  
 
Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

Win7 should take care of most of the drivers itself...which ones are missing?

Look for model and then sub model number on a sticker on the back. Go to mfr website and download onto usb then install if laptop has no NIC drivers. Example HP 3570S (3546-9)

If you do not have wifi or network you will not be able to download drivers as you will not have an Internet connection.  
If you have a different computer you can try to download network drivers for wifi from the manufacturers website and put it on a usb drive then install from usb onto the laptop.  
If you post the model maybe someone can help you find drivers.

There are zero drivers installed. When I check for an update it won't find any or install/prompt anything.

Where did you obtain the Win7 OS? Crack version might have something to do with it. Win7 normally update the drivers automatically.  
Can you run Windows Update?

MS2288 seems to be a battery number, is there any other numbers you can give us?

Ok I have the driver files downloading. How do I get them where they are supposed to be?  

just double click them. they will install.

Ok so I grabbed a bunch of drivers...I then happened to notice that they are all for a 64 bit system. This lap top had a trashed hard drive so I want sure what type of system it was..I just assumed it was 32. I do have access to a 64bit disk. Would this possibly be my problem with no drivers installing automatically when everything is loaded and online?  
 

This is a gateway NV59 that came with Windows 7 home prem.

You didn't answer my question: Did you run Windows Update? Win7 is one of the easiest to install drivers as it does so automatically, especially when it came with Win7.

It won't update. It thinks for several minutes and gives me an error code. I have not looked into the code yet as I ran out of time last night.

Check your device manager to see if the installed drivers are working or not. If they are giving errors, uninstall the driver.  
 
The only drivers that you need to worry about are the NIC/Ethernet (network card) drivers. Download both the 64 bit and 32 bit onto a USB stick, and install one of them from there. If it doesn't like that driver, install the other one.  
 
Once you have your network drivers installed, the rest of the drivers are easy as Windows Update takes care of the rest. The first update could take several hours though.

I finally got a chance to look this model up. It is a 64bit system. That being said, I did install a 32bit last night...  
I have a 64bit disc available to borrow. Would this potentially be causing any of these issues? I'm going to re install my os after work to the 64bit.

You can run Windows 32 bit on a 64bit machine. That's not your problem. I have a hunch you have a "hacked" version of Win7 you got somewhere.  
I suggest you get your network adapter driver working first, then try Windows update. If Windows update still don't work, you have bigger problems than installing drivers.

Not a hacked version at all. I had a disc given to me from a computer shop and I have my own product key. Going to grab the 64 on my way home  

But yes I will try and update the network driver and see what happens. I'm currently running it off a cheap wifi stick that has its own driver
