Dell Warranty

I was out of town,and my family received a call for me from Dell. They indicated that the Dell I had purchased had a part which was recalled. They indicated they would have someone come to my home to replace the part.
Huge red flags are waving for me. Is this a standard pratice? I can see them asking me to bring my computer to an authorized dealer,but to arrange to have someone come to my home?
They left a telephone number of 1-866-489-3355 ext 70460. I tried to do a reverse telephone search ,but came up with nothing.
Am I just being paranoid ? At work we deal with so many scams. I just don't understand how he would know I have a Dell,my name and telephone number. My son purchased a Dell within a couple of weeks of me,yet didn't receive a call. I tried to get in contact with Dell to confirm,but they are closed for the weekend .
What are your thoughts on this?
