I'm looking at getting a high end gaming PC to run an HTC Vive VR headset. Does anyone have a any recommendations on who or where to get one in Brandon?. I would like to stay away from the big box stores.

Build it your self go to http://www.newegg.ca/ or http://www.ncix.com/ order the parts or if your not comfortable putting it together I think NCIX charges 75 dollars to assemble, they also have a lot of gaming computers that they will sell you already put together and they have a builder page, been buying from NCIX since 2002 great prices great service any problems during warranty they pay the freight to return it for repairs.any computer shop in town will custom build but you can buy the parts cheaper on line with free shipping on most stuff.

Check out here https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ it compares all the Canadian suppliers. I usually look here and by from memory express with their price match you can't lose. I just built one for under $1000 and it is 10x better than anything from a box store or a prebuilt one.

Building my own is probably not an option....never done it before and wouldn't know where to start. budget is probably around $2000.00. Thanks for the replies.

I second ncix, I had them put together my older pc, at the time it was 50$ assembly. I built my own last time, it wasnt really that hard, the best part was doing all of my own cable management, hid all of them really nicely. The forums there are great too, I didn't know if all of my parts were compatible so I just made out the list of what I wanted and asked in the build forum, suggestions were made and I ended up with a really good pc! Best of luck on your search.

Try pc part picker, for 2000 dollars you can get a really nice gaming pc just watch tutorials on YouTube, is not rocket science in my opinion and when you are done you can brag to your friends when they come over ;).

I can price out, build and set up a new pc for you if you're interested. I'd charge 150 dollars though for building and setting up.

I'll second Geekz Computers. Its nice having a local store to walk into and ask questions vs having to deal with email or calling 1-800's for warranty.
