Restaurants and Technology

With the whole issue of servers and tips. My thought on the whole idea that a server should receive a manditory tip is bull. When I go out I don't care about the server. The only thing I care about is not having to cook and do the dishes. Why can't tables be equipped with touch screens linking them to the kitchen. This is all I want when I walk into a restaurant.
1-Be seated by a host.
2-Order a Beer, I will even go to the bar and pick it up.
3-Order my meal off a screen. You see exactly what you are ordering.
4-An indicator sign signals when your food is ready. I am sure I can handle walking 30 feet to the food area to pick up and carry back to the table.
5-Swipe my card at the table or pay at the host table.
6-Leave.
I don't need some server asking me how my food is right after they serve it. I swear they wait till your mouth is full so all you can do is nod. I don't care what there name is or whatever about them. For children instead of the coloring pages then can paint on a virtual computer screen built into the table. If I wanted I should be able to read the newspaper on-line right on the table. The technology is there for coffee tables where you can interact with touch. Sure the cost initially would be higher but I think your labour costs would be greatly lowered. In turn creating greater profits.
