I am looking for clarity on the rules about alcohol and or cannabis use in campsites at riding mountain national park this weekend...yesterdays brandon sun page a2 has an article (things to remember this may long) it states:parks canada campgrounds say it will treat individual campsites as temporary homes for visitors, so consumption of cannabis will be allowed in campsites..It doesn't mention alcohol.I have tried to find information on parks canada website about this , but can't find anything definitive.our reservation says: no alcohol or cannabis on the long weekend, and underneath it (the next line) it states: no alcohol or cannabis use after 11 pm to 7am) it does anyone have any clarity about this? thanks

I always thought May long weekend was a dry weekend in the Park?

Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba's only road-accessible national park, is banning the consumption of both cannabis and alcohol at campsites and Otentik sites for the duration of the May long weekend.

Medical users will have different rules though right? So you might still smell those skunks haha

this weekend is a complete ban on both with high fines expected to be handed out.

how or why people would want to smoke a substance when it stinks like skunk?

Riding Mountain National Park has an alcohol ban this Victoria Day weekend, as well as a cannabis ban. Smoking tobacco is allowed at campsites.  
 
For provincial parks in Manitoba, tobacco and alcohol are allowed in campsites only. Again, no cannabis is allowed anywhere within Manitoba’s provincial parks.

You know I see you have anti-pot comments in a lot of discussions. You have had all the ample resources given to you yet you still make these comments. Do you not get people who have a medical need to smoke it to actually get quality of life from it, which you seem to not struggle with so good for you. But medical users need it so quit bitchin about it all the time!

My question remains, is there pot that doesn't smell like skunk? If a doctor wanted to prescribe a substance for me that would cure/benefit my health but the downside was it would make me smell like sh&t I don't think I could handle that smell.  
If pot can help with whatever ails you can use pills, oils or edibles can't you?  
I repeat, why would anyone want to smell skunky?

If you have to ask those questions, then obviously you have not done your research. Quick research will tell you that not all of it smells like skunk. Yes you can use edibles, oils whatever you want. But those ways take time to kick in while smoking it kicks in right away. Oils and edibles are absorbed differently by everyone as well.

Like stated above, not every strain smells skunky. The pros outweigh the con of the smell in most cases for many people. Much better than damaging your body more by the use of many pres:cription meds. If it’s not something you’re interested in, that’s fine, but many prefer a more natural way to help them find relief from whatever their symptoms are  
 
And yes, there are definitely other ways to use other than just smoking it. Vaping is a great option for those that don’t like the smell (still a bit of scent but nothing like a joint) and of course there’s edibles, cream, oil etc.

To me beer smells and tastes like swamp water - why on earth would anyone in their right mind drink that garbage?  
 
Gin tastes like pine needles, same question.  
White rum tastes like lighter fluid, same question.  
Sherry just tastes completely wrong, again, same question.

but how fast would people clear out of their camping spot if a real skunk came for a visit? haha

So, I have a question now. I have heard that edibles take a while to kick in. I have also been told that with certain herbs/drugs, that you can have the substance pass directly & quickly into your bloodstream by holding it under your tongue until it dissolves. Is this a possibility with these types of products?  
 
And, yes, I am showing my uneducated side (I am certainly on the side of natural things and know people benefiting from the medical form), but wish to know...many things that you smell you can also taste. Those senses tend to work in tandem. I had no idea that some could smell like skunk. I thought it was sweet. So if it can smell like skunk, do you also taste that? It is just one of those odd questions I have had, not unlike the question, does whale poop float? By the way...it does.
