And imagine the families that do only spend $200 at Walmart a month because that's all they have? Do you know how many of those families there are - thousands! Especially our young families who cannot get a break under this government. And for their sacrifice so you can save a couple bucks, their grandma needlessly dies waiting 8+ hours in Winnipeg for urgent care. I would gladly give up some meager savings so that others can live well and prosper. I spent two hours in a large assembly room filled with parents and their disabled school-aged children crying and remarking about how hopeless they feel about all supports being cut. Parents have even committed suicide due to this. Do you know who set up and conducted the meeting? Wab Kinew. Pallister has never even made but a phone call to any parent and child suffering as a result of his cuts to education supports. Like I said, we'll see how much taxes go up when those kids are all placed on the social services system as they weren't permitted to build the skills needed to be contributors to the work force, they were thrown into a corner and left to rot. And I highly doubt your ambulance fees are going to be raised as the NDP's platform is to very much focus on healthcare access and costs - introduce dental and eye care for all as well as universal Pharmacare. "
So where is this magic money for more healthcare, pharmacies, dental, eye, etc coming from? At who’s expense? Ambulance would most certainly have to go up to offset costs. What programs, infrastructure, etc will be cut to fund all these things?
That’s what NDP does, is spend. Eventually someone needs to pay. I personally know we can’t afford to pay more out of pocket for these things (higher taxes).
So are you saying, with NDP and leaving our taxes where they are now ( that 1% higher) all these things can happen , and budget will be balanced with no other increase to taxpayer? Why wasn’t it done in all those previous NDP years then? I’m pretty sure the previous spending is what put is in the situation to begin with.
My mind won’t be changed as you are set on yours. Once again I wish you good day.
