Spaghetti Monster said "No that’s not it. It’s the notion that there are folks like you who constantly spout on about “society doesn’t this” or” society has to that.”.. using blanket statements to condemn “the others” but never offering anything concrete or taking responsibility yourself.
You and your ilk offer little to the true conversation that needs to happen between folks if anything is to be accomplished. "
Maybe you missed the part in my post about “I think we would have a better chance of getting through this pandemic mess if people talked about it less, looked after themselves and others with courtesy and common sense, (although I guess it’s not that “common” any more) and quit blaming others/government for every detail of life that we don’t enjoy. Individual responsibility is not encouraged enough nor taught well enough at home. “...”Teach your kids that admitting a mistake is an admirable thing...and it shows strength, not weakness. Teach them to be fair, but also teach them that life will NOT be fair.”
The inclusion of the word “we” in my original post was intentional because it identifies myself as part of the problem. Plus, my intention with my above comments in the original post was, in fact, to offer some possible solutions to a problem that I admitted to being a part of. Sorry if I was unclear about that.
I’m still re-reading your posts to gather all the positive potential to be gleaned from them....
