Gun threat in Wpg schools
9/19/2007 at 7:24 AM
Yesterday 2 schools were locked down in Wpg due to a possible gun threat.
The thing that really burns me about the whole situation is, My friend, has a daughter who attends one of those schools. Yesterday morning when she dropped her off at the school, there were 2 police cruisers sitting on the road by where she lets her daughter out. Being a parent(from Brandon) she thought maybe some police presentation was going on.
The police nor the teacher standing by the door informed her that she was letting her daughter into a potentially very dangerous sitation.
She knew nothing till she picked her daughter up at lunchtime, when a letter was sent home with her.
Now, if they knew what was going on, and the WCP AND the teacher were right there, why couldnt someone inform parents of whats happening, so you have that choice to keep your child at home??
This blows my mind. This is YOUR child, not theirs, it should be your call as too whether you choose to leave them there till everything is settled no???...
