You aren't looking at it clearly. This isn't just people from one country or another that are coming to Canada. These are people who's very core beliefs are not compatible with our way of life. They need to assimilate into Canadian culture and abandon their old way of life or they need to stay out. You might want have your neighborhood turning into a street in Syria, but I do not.
Time will only tell if their true intention was to enjoy the Canadian way of life. If not, the blood of the innocent is on the hands of the people that welcomed these people. " |

Not even sure how to respond to this except to say that your "core beliefs are not compatible with [my] way of life" but I can live in the same country as you regardless.

Maybe so but unless you are Muslim, neither of our core beliefs require killing each other.
I urge you to take a look at the following page that describes the events that take place as a Muslim population grows and the countries currently experiencing those trends.

Take special note of the following paragraph that outlines that once they have a majority population, they begin persecuting people that don't follow Islam, including non-conforming Muslims. This is where your Muslim friends should be concerned because if they live as you describe them, they are non-conforming Muslims.
From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania - Muslim 70%
Malaysia - Muslim 60.4%
Qatar - Muslim 77.5%
Sudan - Muslim 70%
